Come take a walk through the most picturesque urban park in America

With 42 million visitors annually, Central Park is among the most famous sightseeing spots in New York. Tourists come from all around the world to experience the vast collection of art installations, sculptures and monuments erected throughout the park, in perfect complement to its pristine natural beauty.

The Statues of Central Park captures each of these sculptures and monuments, presenting them in one spectacular photography collection, complete with full descriptions of each piece’s unique and interesting histories.

Join the millions of people who have walked the Park’s grounds on a guided tour of this most extraordinary place, and learn why Central Park is the most visited park in America.

Excerpt from the Foreword by Mitchell J. Silver, NYC Parks Commissioner:

"From the very first sculpture installed in the park in 1859 (the bust of Johann C.F. von Schiller, a romantic dramatist, poet and philosopher) to the latest (Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton Women’s Suffrage Movement, to be installed in 2020), I am personally grateful to June Eding and Catarina Astrom for producing this book, spotlighting the statues in Central Park. I hope you will enjoy the journey, and if you have not been to Central Park, I hope this book will inspire you to visit and experience the beautiful landscape and the world’s largest outdoor art museum in person."
