ABOUT THE AUTHORS
Nina Smiley, Ph.D., focuses on bringing mindfulness to real people in real life. After earning her doctoral degree in psychology at Princeton University, Nina taught at the University of Maryland and worked for the American Psychological Association before her path led to Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY (www.mohonk.com), a unique Victorian castle resort founded in 1869, where she is now Director of Mindfulness Programming. Nina’s work in mindfulness has been seen in O, the Oprah Magazine, Shape, Real Simple, Marie Claire, and The New York Times. Nina leads programs and teaches private classes on simple and effective mindfulness meditation techniques that can be used anytime and anywhere.
David Harp, M.A., is the author of more than two dozen books on music, on the mind and on mindfulness, including Mindfulness To Go: How to Meditate While You’re On the Move! and Neural Path Therapy: How to Change Your Brain’s Response to Anger, Fear, Pain, and Desire and Three Minutes to Harmonica.
